Following the passing of his predecessor HIM Oba Mohood Lekan Balogun, HIM Oba Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin ascended to the throne on Friday, July 12, 2024, in a grand ceremony attended by dignitaries from all over Nigeria and beyond. His Coronation was a momentous occasion, marked by traditional rites, cultural displays, and the joy of the people of Ibadan. As the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Olakulehin is the first Olubadan to reside at the new Olubadan Palace at Oke Aremo. HIM, pledged to uphold the dignity of the throne and serve his people with wisdom and integrity.
